STATEMENT - YOUNG IN PUBLIC LIFE WAS.
(compared to recent events in the XIV LO Wrocław)
Wroclaw, 8 December 2009
with indignation accept the demand to remove crosses from Polish schools. The cross is not only a symbol of the suffering that our Lord suffered for the salvation of men, not only a symbol of God's love for people. The cross is the symbol, who accompanied the Polish school from its origins up to the dark and shameful communist times, when violence has been removed. After the fall of communism, Pope John Paul II exhorted: "Let us thank Divine Providence for that cross back to schools, public offices and hospitals. Let him stay there. "
anyone in the old days, this symbol does not interfere - and then even though there have been taught among the people after all, far from Christianity. Nobody in their right mind does not occur to feel "offended" or "vulnerable for punitive damages "because of the presence in the school symbol of love. This symbol, as proclaimed by the Sejm resolution of 3 December 2009, "in the public sphere reiterates readiness to sacrifice for others, expresses the values \u200b\u200bthat build respect for the dignity of every human being and his rights." Therefore, we believe that the fight against cross in the schools do not take people of good will with a different perspective on life, but people are blinded by hatred for Christianity. It is not surprising presence among them agitators "Gazeta Wyborcza, which has long been struggling with the Christian tradition in Poland. This time, the editors of "Gazeta Wyborcza" blown fine petitioner three students of Wroclaw XIV LO, gave the absurd fame - and exerting pressure on the director of the school (by manipulating the expression on the occasion of the director) that crosses removed from the room. They and all enemies of the Cross recommend mercy of him who also was crucified for them.
At the same time we express our support for the decision of the Director XIV LO, Mr Mark Łaźniaka, to keep the crosses in the halls of this venerable school.
